Paula P. Schnurr, Ph.D., is Deputy Executive Director of the
VA National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Acting
Associate Chief of Staff for Research at the White River
Junction VA Medical Center. She is Research Professor of
Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School. She is current
Past-President of the International Society for Traumatic Stress
Studies and the Editor of the Journal of Traumatic Stress. Her
research focuses on PTSD treatment, the physical health effects
of exposure to trauma, older veterans, and the etiology of
PTSD.
